What 6 m of drop protection actually means
Most leather cases are a sleeve with no structural claim at all: pretty, and useless in the one moment that matters. The GENTCREATE Croco Glossy case is built the other way around. Under the leather is a polycarbonate frame that resists flexing and a TPU layer that deforms to absorb impact, and the combination is rated to a 19.6 ft (6 m) drop. Put that in context: a phone falling from a hand at hip height travels 1 m. The raised lip around the camera array means the lens glass never touches the surface when the phone is face-up, which is where a surprising share of camera scratches actually come from. Note that the case protects the phone, not the screen; it has no built-in screen cover, so a separate protector is still worth having.
The leather and the lining
The outer skin is calfskin, embossed with a crocodile scale pattern and finished glossy. The scales are pressed into the hide, not printed on it, so the relief is real and it cannot flake off the way a surface print does. Glossy calfskin is also the least fussy leather to live with on a phone: it is fingerprint-resistant and dust-resistant, and a wipe brings the shine back. Inside, this GENTCREATE case is lined with Alcantara rather than left as bare molded plastic. That matters more than it sounds, because the inside of a case spends its whole life in contact with the back of a very expensive piece of glass. Everything is handmade and hand-sewn with a saddle stitch, and the logo is hot-stamped in gold by hand. Is it real crocodile? No
We emboss the crocodile pattern into calfskin rather than using crocodile hide, and we would always tell you that before you buy. It is a deliberate choice on our part. It keeps this case free of exotic-skin sourcing, and it means we can cut you another one in the same finish when you change phones, which is something no genuine exotic hide can promise. What you get is the architecture of the scale pattern on a leather we control from the start.
Charging, tapping, and one honest limitation
Qi wireless charging works through this case, and NFC passes through, so contactless payment and transit cards read normally without taking the phone out. The limitation, stated plainly: this case does not have a MagSafe magnet array. It will sit on a wireless charging pad and charge, but it will not snap onto a MagSafe puck, a magnetic car mount, or a MagSafe wallet. If magnetic accessories are central to how you use your phone, you want a case built with a magnet array instead of this one. It also does not block audio: the speaker and microphone cutouts are open.
Your initials, hot-stamped

Caring for glossy leather on a phone
A phone case gets handled more than any other leather item you own, so it is mostly about what to avoid. Wipe it with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Keep alcohol wipes and hand sanitizer off the leather, because they strip the glossy finish and leave a permanent matte patch. Do not leave it on a car dashboard in summer sun; the heat rating is 140 F (60 C) and a closed windshield can pass that. It is water-resistant, so rain and splashes are fine, but wet leather should dry at room temperature and never on a radiator.
