The back of the case is a single panel of genuine python skin from France, finished in black. Every scale is the skin's own, with a raised, slightly lifted edge and a fine crinkled texture across its surface, so the panel has a relief you can feel under your fingertips. The python is not embossed leather and not a printed pattern. Its finish is semi-matte, with a soft low sheen where light runs along the ridges of the scales. Because the pattern comes from the skin itself, the scales on each case are unique to it and differ from the photos.

Center-cut belly scales or small, even side scales

The scale pattern on the case depends on where its panel is cut from the skin. The center cut runs a column of wide, horizontal belly scales down the middle of the back, flanked by smaller diamond-shaped scales, and the ridges of the large scales pick up a smoky sheen in side light while the case stays black. The side cut covers the back from edge to edge in small, rounded diamond scales set in a tight, even net, with no large belly scales, so it reads as a deeper and more uniform black. Wipe the back with a soft, dry cloth in the direction of the scales, never against them, so the scale edges stay flat.
Keep it away from water, heaters and long periods in direct sun; soaked or overheated scales can lift.

In cases where a customer asks for a refund due to shipping time being unexpected ( delayed ) we will not be able to issue a refund due to that factor as the shipping time is approximately written according to the latest data issued by the courier themselves.

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective or damaged, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions

Certain types of items cannot be returned more specifically custom products (such as personalized items where the customer has requested unique branding). Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept refunds on sale items or gift cards.

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Product Discrepancy

Most of these products at Gentcreate are handmade, meaning that they may have some discrepancies, such as a slight color discrepancy, patina or a size discrepancy.

Refund Postage, Logistics & Expenses

Unless in the case of damaged goods, all return shipping costs, choice of shipment company, choice of package fall within the customers' responsibility and discretion.

Shipping and delivery

Standard shipping is free to the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, the EU countries we ship to and most other destinations. Argentina, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay pay $9.49, and Mauritius and Monaco $34.49. Checkout shows any paid option for your country, with its price.

Most orders leave us within 1 to 4 business days, or 2 to 5 when personalized. US orders typically arrive 9 to 17 days after you order (personalized, 10 to 20). Every order is tracked: we email you the tracking number when it ships, and you can follow it on the order tracking page.

Duties and import tax

We don't charge tax or duties at checkout. Nothing is collected on delivery for US orders, and we pay the import VAT and duty on packages to the EU countries we ship to and Monaco. Elsewhere, your customs authority may charge import tax or duty when the package arrives; it is not included in our price.

If something goes wrong

If your package arrives damaged: Email us photos of the piece, and of the package if you still have it. We send a replacement at no cost to you, or refund you in full if you prefer. If we need the damaged piece back, we send you a prepaid label. Write to support@gentcreate.com.

If your order can't leave us within 4 business days (5 when personalized), we email you before then with a new date, and you can cancel for a full refund. If your package hasn't arrived: We ask the carrier to trace it. If it is lost, or still hasn't reached you 30 days after your order, we send a new one or refund you, whichever you prefer.
