The back of the case is genuine crocodile skin from France. It is real exotic skin, not embossed leather and not a printed pattern, so every scale has its own depth and edge. The Himalaya finish shades across the panel from smoky gray-taupe to almost white, with chalky pale creases between the scales and a matte surface that carries no lacquer gloss.

Because the pattern comes from the skin itself, the scales on each case vary in size and shape, from smaller rounded scales along one edge to larger squarish tiles set in rows, and the case you receive is unique and will differ from the photos.

Caring for genuine crocodile skin

Wipe with a soft, dry cloth; a soft, dry brush lifts dust from the creases between the scales.
Keep it away from water. If it gets wet, blot it at once and let it dry at room temperature, away from heaters and direct sun.
Avoid solvents, alcohol-based cleaners and the creams, oils or waxes made for ordinary leather, which can darken a matte crocodile finish and settle into the creases.
Pale finishes can take on dye from new dark denim, so keep it out of the pockets of fresh jeans.

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective or damaged, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions

Certain types of items cannot be returned more specifically custom products (such as personalized items where the customer has requested unique branding). Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept refunds on sale items or gift cards.

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Product Discrepancy

Most of these products at Gentcreate are handmade, meaning that they may have some discrepancies, such as a slight color discrepancy, patina or a size discrepancy.

Refund Postage, Logistics & Expenses

Unless in the case of damaged goods, all return shipping costs, choice of shipment company, choice of package fall within the customers' responsibility and discretion.

Shipping and delivery

Standard shipping is free to the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, the EU countries we ship to and most other destinations. Argentina, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay pay $9.49, and Mauritius and Monaco $34.49. Checkout shows any paid option for your country, with its price.

Most orders leave us within 1 to 4 business days, or 2 to 5 when personalized. US orders typically arrive 9 to 17 days after you order (personalized, 10 to 20). Every order is tracked: we email you the tracking number when it ships, and you can follow it on the order tracking page.

Duties and import tax

We don't charge tax or duties at checkout. Nothing is collected on delivery for US orders, and we pay the import VAT and duty on packages to the EU countries we ship to and Monaco. Elsewhere, your customs authority may charge import tax or duty when the package arrives; it is not included in our price.

If something goes wrong

If your package arrives damaged: Email us photos of the piece, and of the package if you still have it. We send a replacement at no cost to you, or refund you in full if you prefer. If we need the damaged piece back, we send you a prepaid label. Write to support@gentcreate.com.

If your order can't leave us within 4 business days (5 when personalized), we email you before then with a new date, and you can cancel for a full refund. If your package hasn't arrived: We ask the carrier to trace it. If it is lost, or still hasn't reached you 30 days after your order, we send a new one or refund you, whichever you prefer.
