Top-grain Italian cowhide with an embossed wave pattern
The outside of the passport holder is top-grain cowhide from Italy, embossed with a wave pattern of fine, dense ridges with a slight wave. Top grain is the strong outer layer of the hide. The wave pattern is embossed into the cowhide; it is not exotic skin. The ridges run horizontally across both covers, at a right angle to the spine, and the satin, semi-matte finish gives the tops of the ridges a soft, low sheen against the darker grooves. The front cover, the spine and the back cover are one continuous piece of leather, finished with fine stitching in the same tone as the leather and smooth, dark painted edges.
Five card slots, a ticket slot and a passport slot
It opens flat like a book onto two panels of smooth black cowhide. The left panel carries four card slots stacked one above the other, each with a fine stitched mouth, and a deeper fifth card pocket below them with a gently angled top edge. Behind the card slots, the left panel opens along the spine side into the ticket slot, a tall sleeve for a boarding pass or folded bills. The right panel is a full-height passport slot: the back cover of the passport slides into it, so the passport lies flat on that panel. GENTCREATE sits in gold foil, centered low on the fifth card pocket, and it is the only stamp on the holder.
RFID blocking for contactless cards and e-passports
The holder has RFID blocking, designed to stop the contactless cards and the e-passport chip it carries from being read through the closed holder. It keeps the passport, payment cards and a boarding pass together in one place, behind the same RFID blocking.

Caring for embossed cowhide
- Wipe with a soft, dry cloth, following the ridges, to lift dust from the grooves of the wave pattern.
- If it gets wet, blot it and let it dry at room temperature, never next to a heater or in direct sun.
- For a deeper clean, use a cleaner made for finished leather and test it on a small hidden area first.
- Avoid solvents and alcohol-based cleaners, which dull the satin finish.
- Avoid overfilling the card slots, so they keep their shape and the holder closes flat.
- Store it closed and lying flat so the spine fold and the slot mouths keep their shape.
