This crocodile-embossed cardholder stays flat in a front pocket, empty or loaded, with four card slots and a center pocket for folded cash. It is handmade from calfskin leather embossed with a crocodile pattern, lined with napa leather, sealed with a glossy finish, and hand-sewn with a saddle stitch. It measures 10.3 x 7.3 cm (4.06 x 2.87 in), with the GENTCREATE name hot-stamped in gold on the front.

Key facts

Slim empty, slim full: it disappears into a front pocket instead of reshaping it, which is the entire reason to carry a cardholder rather than a wallet.
Four card slots plus a center cash pocket: cards on the outside, folded notes down the middle, so you are not unfolding the whole thing to pay.
Crocodile-embossed calfskin, not printed: the scale pattern is pressed into the hide, so it has real relief you can feel and it will not peel away like a surface print.
Napa leather lining: cards slide in and out without dragging, which is what stops printed card faces scuffing over a year of daily use.
Hand-sewn saddle stitch: every stitch is locked independently, so one snapped thread cannot open the seam.
Footprint: 10.3 x 7.3 cm (4.06 x 2.87 in), sized around a standard bank card with almost nothing to spare.

How slim it stays loaded, and why that matters

Most "slim" cardholders are slim only while empty. The GENTCREATE Crocodile Embossed Cardholder starts flat and stays flat with a working load of cards and a few folded notes, because there is no folded lining stack inside it: it is leather, lining, and stitching, and nothing else. That is what lets it ride in a front trouser pocket next to a phone without printing a rectangle through the fabric. If you have been carrying a bifold and only ever use four cards, this is the size difference you actually feel.

The leather: crocodile-embossed calfskin

The outer skin of this GENTCREATE cardholder is calfskin, embossed with a crocodile scale pattern and finished with a glossy sealant. The emboss does two useful things beyond looks. The raised scales give the surface grip, so the piece does not slide out of a pocket when you sit down, and the broken texture hides the fine scratches that show up quickly on flat, polished leather. Inside, napa leather lines the slots, chosen because it is soft enough to let a card pass without scraping. The leather sealant is what keeps the gloss from dulling and helps the surface shrug off fingerprints. Everything is handmade and hand-sewn. If you want the background on the material this pattern imitates, our guide to crocodile leather covers it properly.

Is this real crocodile skin? No, and that is deliberate

We emboss the crocodile pattern into calfskin rather than working in crocodile hide. That keeps this piece free of exotic-skin sourcing, and it means we can make you another one in the same finish years from now, which a genuine exotic hide cannot promise. What you get is the architecture of the scale pattern on a leather we control from the tannery onward, so it wears evenly and behaves predictably.

What it holds

Four dedicated card slots, two on each side, plus the center pocket. Carried the way it is designed for, that is your bank card, a transit or ID card, and a couple of others, with folded notes or a receipt down the middle. The slots will take more than one card each if you push, and the leather does relax to accommodate that, but this is a piece built around a deliberately edited everyday carry rather than a wallet that happens to be thin. Not sure which format suits how you actually pay? Our notes on how to tell if a leather piece is well made are a good place to start.

How it ages

Calfskin of this weight does not fall apart, it burnishes. The high points of the emboss pick up shine first, the corners darken, and the piece slowly takes the shape of the cards you actually carry. Hand saddle-stitching means the construction outlives the surface: there is no machine-stitched weak point waiting to run. Kept in a pocket rather than a drawer, this is a piece measured in years, not seasons.

Is this the right piece for you

Choose this cardholder if: you carry four to six cards, you want the flattest thing that still holds cash, and you would rather have texture and color than another flat black rectangle.

Consider something larger if: you need eight or more card slots or you carry unfolded banknotes daily, in which case a bifold with a full-length cash pocket will suit you better.

Caring for a glossy embossed finish

The sealed glossy surface on this GENTCREATE cardholder does most of the work: wipe it with a dry or barely damp cloth and the shine comes back. Do not use alcohol wipes or household cleaners, which cut through the sealant and leave a dull patch that will not buff out. Because the finish is sealed rather than open-pored, it needs far less conditioning than an untreated leather; a light neutral conditioner once a year at the corners and along the spine is enough, and only where the piece is starting to look dry. If it gets soaked, blot it and let it dry at room temperature away from any heat source. Our tips on cleaning leather goods go further.

What customers say

The reviews for this cardholder keep returning to the same thing: how well made it is in the hand. Several owners tell us they bought it as a gift and then ordered a second one for themselves, and the color range comes up repeatedly as the reason they chose it over a plain black alternative.

Questions buyers ask

Is this real crocodile leather? No. It is calfskin embossed with a crocodile pattern, lined with napa leather. You get the look of the scales without exotic-skin sourcing.

How many cards does it hold? Four dedicated slots plus a center pocket for folded cash. It will take more per slot as the leather relaxes.

What size is it? 10.3 x 7.3 cm, or 4.06 x 2.87 in.

Does it hold cash? Yes. Folded notes go in the center pocket between the card slots.

What is it made of? Calfskin leather outer with a crocodile emboss, napa leather lining, glossy sealed finish, hand-sewn saddle stitch.

Is it a men's or women's cardholder? It is unisex. The size is dictated by bank card dimensions, so it is the same piece whichever color you choose.

Where is the logo? Hot-stamped in gold on the front, applied by hand.
